In that case, you’d think Trump would ask Murray to help out Dennis Rodman with N. Korea and get him his Peace Prize. After all, you just need to be Korean to help. Old article:
Here’s what Napolitano said. Since Trump hasn’t read the Mueller report, and his knowledge of its conclusions has come from what he’s watched on Fox News, we can now assume that he’s seen the Napolitano clip, and it’s finally dawning on him what deep shit he’s in.
It’s funny how whenever someone who used to be his pal criticizes him, Loser Donald says it’s because they asked him for something (a government job, a pardon, money, etc.) and he said no. It’s as if he can’t imagine the notion of being nice to another human being without expecting to get something out of them.
Perhaps at some point Trump was capable of being nice to someone in order to sell them something, but right now he doesn’t seem to be able of reaching beyond “being ‘nice’” (sometimes for very strange definitions of nice) “to someone unless they’re actively stroking his ego”.
Alternatively, it also seems to show that he cannot conceptualize the notion of people disagreeing him because he’s wrong ; rather it’s always because he (Trump) didn’t dole out the goodies or some other unrelated reason. It can’t be that Napoletano said what he said because it’s the truth or his considered opinion as a law scholar : it has to have an ulterior, dishonest and ultimately pettily spiteful motive. It suggests that what he said isn’t the or even his truth, just saying whatever as long as it hurts a target.
Odd, that. One idly wonders if there’s not more reflexive projection going on there than in a bukkake video.
The scary thing is that the MAGAers don’t seem to be able to think critically and just eat up Trump’s bullshit. Napolitano saying something that’s not Trump positive? Don’t believe him:
No evidence—not even from Fox News—can shake their faith.
[italics in original]
Think about that. 70% of Republicans trust Trump more than even their favorite source, which is most likely Fox News.
I still know people who demand examples of Trump lying and then dismiss any offered as “Fake News” or “Trump was only joking” and you don’t get it. For a guy with no sense of humor, Trump makes an awful lot of jokes.
I once gave as an example of a Trump lie his statement that “I’m, like, a very smart person.”
The MAGAers didn’t like that: “He’s the smartest guy in the room” and “he’s such a successful businessman”. :smack:
I know I’ve mentioned this several times, but perhaps this is another appropriate time for a definition from the Newspeak Dictionary (Eleventh Edition):crimestopn. The faculty of stopping short, as though by instinct, at the threshold of any dangerous thought. It includes the power of not grasping analogies, of failing to perceive logical errors, of misunderstanding the simplest arguments if they are inimical to Ingsoc, and of being bored or repelled by any train of thought which is capable of leading in a heretical direction. In short…protective stupidity.
