Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

I read this in the same cadence that Jan Brady used to say, “Marcia, Marcia, Marcia!” and it occurred to me that maybe he’s just jealous of all the attention Russia was getting. Instead of spending time talking about the crimes Russia had committed, he wanted more time spent talking about all the beautiful crimes he had committed.

Maybe he read the article about Twitter fatigue and decided to up his game?

Talking to the press this morning on his way to Colorado, Trump’s claiming Russia did nothing to help him get elected and is, in fact, saying they helped Clinton because nobody is tougher on Russia than he is. So, of course, Russia wouldn’t help him.

The press interaction was something to behold, even by Trump standards. Who knew all this about anti-Trump Mueller.

“I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected,” should be quoted in every Democratic candidate’s campaign ad.

Link:

Trump finally admits Russia helped get him elected

*“I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected,” the president tweeted.
*

Trump saying two opposite things?

And “insufficient evidence”, the new talking point instead of a hoax.

The tweet was a Freudian slip. He knows Russia helped him get elected, and he forgot that he isn’t supposed to say that out lout.

Another Freudian slip -

Lout - noun

An awkward, stupid person; clumsy, ill-mannered boor; oaf.

Sounds like the Bart Simpson defense: “I didn’t do it nobody saw me do it you can’t prove a thing!”

It would be the 4th time if he really did it again. Here is his history of bragging about hitting 25,000:

**Dow just crashes through 25,000. Congrats! ** That was way back on January 4, 2018

The Stock Market hit 25,000 yesterday. July 14, 2018

Dow just broke 25,000. Tremendous news! Jan 30, 2019

We’ve had nearly a year and a half of the DOW looking like an EKG graph of someone going through cardiac arrest.

Was it before breakfast?

I believe that’s exactly what we are seeing. Only it’s the country in cardiac arrest. :frowning:

The Dow is not going to go much higher for a while. The trade war is about to get real, and there’s increasing evidence that the economy as a whole is slowing down. Worse, global growth is slowing. There’s nothing Trump’s administration has achieved that fundamentally enables the US to grow its economy if global trade grinds to a halt. He hasn’t dramatically increased our manufacturing capacity. If anything, the increasingly out of control deficits make us even more vulnerable to such an event.

What’s troublesome is that we’re seeing how Donald Trump wages economic warfare. He invents reasons to attack a competitor, and he attacks them alone, one-on-one. He “negotiates” by putting countries in a corner and then expects them to capitulate, and when they don’t, he assumes that putting more chips on the table is a counter-strategy. In short, he’s reckless.

How countries wage economic war is probably pretty indicative of how they wage military conflict, which portends disaster.

Thank you, I have long contended that that’s racist, and even asked here for opinions and gotten no response. Appreciate your input.

Trump can afford to be reckless, because he’s always put **somebody else’s **chips on the table.

It’s the same this time. He does not give two shits if the country plunges into chaos.

But he will if (when) the economy plunges and suddenly people begin asking how much or how little he pays in taxes.

That’s probably true, actually – the Russians aren’t stupid enough to allow an idiot like him to participate in an important black op.

Jake Tapper on CNN was just talking about this and called it a Freudian slip.

Tapper then essentially noted that, to put my own spin on what he said, when Trump tells the truth it’s by accident.

A classic example of this definition:

Seems that Jake Tapper ignored the fact that the original tweet was deleted, then reposted with minor changes… with the phrase still left in.
