Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

Individual 1 tweeted out something in Arabic lettering:

It’s addressed to the Iranian people direct
“The Iranian government should allow human rights groups to monitor and report the current truth of protests during the Iranian people’s movement. We should not witness the killing of peaceful protesters or the internet disconnection. The world is watching these events.”

And of course the US media hypes this up as the moment of truth for Iran’s regime, as though the Iranian street might somehow have a change of heart and side with Trump and overthrow the Ayatollah now.

There have been anti-Ayatollah, anti-Rouhani, ant-whatever protesters since 1979. Iran is a lot more complex than most people in the West realize.

Individual 1 retweeted an image of Schumer and Pelosi in Islamic headgear standing in front of an Iranian flag.
Trump Retweets Fake Image of Pelosi in Hijab Standing in Front of Iranian Flag?

If ever there was a time to post a picture of Trump blowing Putin while getting it up the ass from MbS.

The Trumpers would applaud it as an example of his great diplomatic skills.

Yeah, they would claim he got the two to meet in the middle.

…And then the White House offered their “defense” of the retweet:

That’s right: the official position of the Trump Administration is that Muslim garb = terrorism.

Tammy Duckworth has the best response to that

Doug Collins apologised after that spectacular own-goal.

And this is news to you?

Trump as “Lucky Pierre?”

Sorry, I can only picture him as being fucked.

That ship has indeed sailed a long time ago. Remember after 9/11, when Dubya would hammer on that “the US isn’t at war with Islam, but terrorists !” ? Man, those were some good few hours…

Before this they haven’t been so bald-faced about it. It was more of a ‘nudge nudge wink wink’ sort of attitude that accompanied announcements about travel bans.

But in this case, DUI Stephanie just out and out said that wearing Islamic garb denotes terrorism.

Yeesh.

I’m sure you’ve heard it before, but if you haven’t, look up “death of euphemism” in relation with the Trump admin. Or the Johnson admin, really. They don’t even bother saying the quiet part quiet any more.

Yep. Power does tend to make the disreputables arrogant, and arrogance leads to blunt expressions of their appalling beliefs.

Before Trump “got elected” he called for a total and complete shutdown on “Mooslims” from entering the country.
Who is surprised here?

(Cue Lee Greenwood…)

“A massive 200 Billion Dollar Sea Wall, built around New York to protect it from rare storms, is a costly, foolish & environmentally unfriendly idea that, when needed, probably won’t work anyway. It will also look terrible. Sorry, you’ll just have to get your mops & buckets ready!”

It is important to note that when Trump spouts off on Twitter, he is not actually addressing the world or the American people, or anything like that.

What he is doing is speaking DIRECTLY TO HIS FOLLOWERS, people who are going to believe him no matter what, people who will vote for him regardless, people who will follow him to Helen Waite, those upon whom reason and thought and speech are wasted. He’s talking to his fan club.

He’s not talking to ME, or anyone with a brain in their heads that they are likely to use.

This doesn’t much excuse anything, but I find that it makes ME feel better whenever he says some bit of damnfool nonsense on Twitter.

What if New York gets Mexico to pay for it?

The one-word answer to that bullshit is Doonbeg. Seawalls for me but not for thee.

Hey, did you folks see Trump’s thoughtful, considered Tweet on the legacy of Dr. King this morning?

Kidding; there wasn’t one, of course. Instead, he apparently chose instead to spend his time whining about Schiff and inflating his approval numbers (“51%!” No clue where he’s getting this from, given that the average of all polls continues to be around 42% and has been for months), with this hilarious bit of verbal Sharpie added:

Ah, yes. The ever-reliable Them.
