I bet he retweeted it because he liked the image of the federal troops dominating a protestor. It hit his feed because the Washington Times is usually a reliable conservative rag. As for the article itself being counter to his actions, he probably didn’t notice because “words are hard”.

The '50s called, they want their bullshit back.
He believes that there really is something like a Suburban Lifestyle Dream that millions of people are experiencing. He lives in a '50s sitcom. He’s never been to a “suburb” in his life.
If this was a 50’s sitcom suburb, Trump would be trying to kick Ricky Ricardo out of it.
Trump is starting to get panicky about the election. He tweeted this, which normally staid and reserved NPR called “filled with inaccuracies”:
So there you have it: this is the hand that Trump holds now. “The elections are a sham.”
It’s now an open question of whether his allies will follow him down that path.
The question is-What are they willing to do and/or say to stay on that path?
