Why would he be livid about someone recusing himself like that; does he have reason to think that an investigation will reach a different conclusion if headed by someone else?
Recusing himself makes the Trump team look guilty.
Probably his worst weekend yet. But we’re only six weeks in, so lots more fun to come.
He’ll get a news cycle change on Monday when he will reportedly sign Immigration Order 2.0.
You used the word “reason.” Reason and logic do not apply when analyzing Trump’s behavior
Worse: Recusing himself makes the Trump team look [del]guilty[/del] like LOSERS, the one thing The Trumpster can’t tolerate.
It’s obvious, isn’t it? This reflects badly on him. He chose sessions, so sessions recusing himself makes trump look bad.
CNN claims it’s because the Sessions news stole his “Presidential” thunder.
“Nearly a hundred”? Do I detect a faint note of journalistic sarcasm?
You know who else was a teetotaler?
Snerk.
I know the numbers look silly, especially in comparison to the Women’s March…but seriously, who is the brain trust that thought a “rally in support of the president” was a good idea–regardless of the president?
When is the last time you saw somebody take to the streets, carrying a sign that said “I’m happy with things just the way they are”?
This is probably the best tweet from Trump’s Twitter rant earlier.
HuffPo headline was “Tens of People …”
There’s also the fact that now he won’t have Sessions in his corner if a Russian probe does come along.
But apparently he will have Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente, who was third in line after the firing of Sally Yates (who hasn’t been replaced) and the recusal of Sessions. Boente was removed from the line of succession by Obama, but put back in position by Trump, so he sort of owes him.
I have no reason to disbelieve it, but in so many of the pictures taken of him, he’s got the facial expression of someone who’s had about three too many drinks to be trusted behind the wheel of a car.
It could be something other than alcohol.
Can this thread also include Roger Stone and Sean Hannity on Twitter now?
HO HO, HEY HEY, The Status Quo has got to Stay!!!
I think it’s more of a “We can’t have been this horribly wrong” statement.
Ok, but let’s just assume for a moment that Obama really did tap Trump’s phones. Wouldn’t that mean we should lock Obama up? And is there any possibility he’d share a cell with Hillary?
This kind of news bugs me. CNN reporting on how “angry” the president is, like some kind of nener-neener moment for lefties, feels childish and empty in the hyper-partisan way I’ve come to expect from Fox or especially Limbaugh. But then again, unsubstantiated allegation tweets about Obama are direct from Trump himself- hey lefties, here’s something stupid to talk about! In both cases, it makes me wonder if there is any significant legislation or policy in the pipe that I could be looking at instead.
Except it is Trump, so the contrived, surreal atmosphere could simply be a clear look at things.
… excepting that descriptions of the overall emotional tenor of the WH (and Congress) are as old as the Republic itself.
