Trump conceded via tweet this morning, and then took it back when everyone dunked on him and media reported on it as actual concession.
Hmmm. From The Market for Voting Machines Is Broken. This Company Has Thrived in It.
In 2003, Diebold’s CEO caused a controversy when he became a top fundraiser for George W. Bush and promised to help Ohio “deliver its electoral votes to the president.” While there is no evidence the CEO actually manipulated his company’s machines to alter the vote in Ohio — it went for Bush — the dispute and a host of issues involving the effectiveness of its technology led Diebold to sell off the voting business in 2009.
Wait, radical left…privately owned? Did he just say that in one sentence, and did his fan boys not pick up on that? Or is Dominion owned by that radical leftist billionaire, George Soros? Christ, the mental contortions that republicans have to perform…
It becomes easier once you start the regular bleach injections.
Rudy says Individual 1 was being sarcastic when he said Biden won.
I believe it. He’s a master of sarcasm. Hell, he was obviously being sarcastic on 20JAN2017 when he took that oath.
So it seems that Trump’s “Sore Loser Tour” continues.
A psychopath defending a sociopath. What a wacky world.
trump tweet at close to midnight last night:
I WON THE ELECTION!
I asked in the Clusterfuck II thread (I think it was there) if this is a manifestation of dementia. I can’t picture the 40- or 50- year old DJT carrying on like this, embarrassing himself in front of the whole world. I realize the presidency is the biggest prize and therefore the biggest loss of his life, and I can see a younger DJT being this destructive (or wanting to be), but the complete lack of judgment is cringeworthy to the max. Is this what happens when a narcissist goes off the deep end while suffering from dementia?
Maybe his advisors are telling him he can still turn it around if makes a big enough fuss. Or more likely IMO he and the GOP just want to make everything as difficult as possible for Biden so Americans will vote the GOP back in big time at the midterms and 2024. He doesn’t care if non-trump fans think he’s embarrassing himself.
I wish someone would give trump his binky and some chamomile tea and put him to bed, but I guess nothing would counteract whatever he’s snortin’ in the wee hours.
This is very harmful. Not only is the Biden admin going to be severely hobbled, but there are eventually going to be direct and indirect deaths from the unrest the GOP is fomenting, but then they can just say they didn’t mean violence. There will be no consequences to them legally and they won’t be punished in the voting booth either.
I’ve been reading reports that privately he knows he lost. All his lawsuits and tantrums to the contrary are just political theater to fire up his rabid base. It’s all he has now; he can’t give up the adulation of his adoring mob, so he keeps on pushing the fiction of a rigged election, not giving one shit about the damage it’s doing to the incoming Biden administration and Democracy itself. And as @Skypist said. “there are eventually going to be direct and indirect deaths from the unrest the GOP is fomenting”.
It’s a disgusting and anti-American display, and will cement trump’s reputation in history as the worst, most divisive, most dangerous President we’ve ever had.
I don’t see this as any more embarrassing than anything else he’s done, right down the the whole Birtherism nonsense. He’s been acting like a fool for a decade now, and doesn’t seem to care that he’s getting laughed at. (Actually, he probably cares very much, but not enough to change his behavior.)
Trump complains that Georgia’s absentee ballots weren’t signature matched.
The Georgia Secretary of State, of course, refuted this claim.
“The state of Georgia strengthened signature match this year,” Raffensperger wrote, saying that election officials received signature-match training requiring a confirmed match be made twice before a ballot is cast.
If there’s one thing Donald Trump knows, it’s how to monetize a grievance.
And everything else.
Sadly true.
It remains appalling that so many millions of Americans, not to mention the politicians they voted into office, are “fine” with Trump’s open corruption.
If he knew how to monetize, he wouldn’t have to file bankruptcy so often.
He seems to be able to make it. Just not to hang on to it.
Trump is surely worried about SDNY, and his money stream going dry.
I also wonder if he is also worried about Putin writing the last chapter of The Art of the Deal.
