With my kids visiting for the summer, I’m taking the step of purchasing a Wii. I’ve never been interested in any of the modern game consoles. The Atari 2600 was the only one I ever had. I’ve noticed some remarkably cheap prices on the web (one as low as $6). But of course, I’m skeptical. All of the recognizable stores have it at around $250. Should I take the risk of price shopping to save a few bucks?
Depends. Do you have any time constraints? Also, how much money are you saving and is that worth it?
They are retail price locked at $250. Anything lower is probably used or refurbished.
Rumor has it that Nintendo will drop the price to $200 for the holidays.
I just purchased it online at Toys R Us. It was still $249, but they threw in a Mario Bros. game and a sports game kit.
Free Mario Bros.? Score!
You got a good deal.
Hopefully, this will cushion the blow a bit – you may want to consider purchasing a second wii remote & nunchuck (or at the least a second wii remote,) if the kids are close enough in age that they will want to play together.
Costco usually has them in packages that are a good deal if, and only if, the packages include stuff you were planning on buying.
Thanks, I will. Also, in case anyone is thinking about buying a Wii, the Toys R Us web deal that I got expires tomorrow (Saturday).
