I’m gonna get me a second Wiimote later today, and was pondering wether to get Wii play with a Wiimote, or just buy a Wiimote.
The difference in price is equvalent to 25 USD. So to anyone who has played Wii Play - is it worth those 25 extra $?
Thanks!
For me, that would represent good value for money, yes. No doubt about it.
Are you going to play the minigames? It’s as simple as that. If not, then it’s not worth it. WiiSports is okay, but I don’t really play WiiSports much.
It is worth it if you plan on having people over. It’s only 5 bucks.
Wait there’s a difference of 25 bucks from just a controller to the Controller + Wii play???
That’s NOT a good deal. Normally it’s like a 5-10 dollar difference I thought.
I wouldn’t really buy the game for that much actually, and just go with the controller, and save the 25 bucks to buying an actual game.
Wii sports is much better than Wii play. Unless you really really like nostalgic tank games and updated 3-D controlling Pong. If that’s worth 25 bucks to you, then maybe.
But otherwise, I’d wait till there’s only a difference of 15-10 bucks at most.
I don’t think a difference of $25 dollars is worth it. The normal difference is $10 which I would consider about right.
I bought WiiPlay for the remote (at $10 over the remote cost) and have to say that I wouldn’t do it again. My roommate and I played each minigame through a couple of times and haven’t touched the game since. I personally would not pay $10 dollars for it again and certainly wouldn’t recommend it for $25.
$5, yes. $25, hell no. IMHO, of course.
The only time I ever pull that out is when people come over who have never seen the Wii before. It’s good for demonstrating certain aspects of the Wii. But there is no game on it that I have the desire to play repeatedly. I would recommend just buying the Wiimote and moving on.
For the extra $10 of Wii Play versus a standard Wii Remote, it was totally worth it.
But if you can get a Remote for $25, jump on it.
$10 over the price of the remote is what I paid, and it was worth it to me. Most of the games are throwaways, but 9-ball is fun, and if you have kids they’ll like the fishing, shooting, tank and cow-racing games.
Hey, I like the shooting and the cow-racing game!
Lol. We need one of those shame-faced, blushing smilies around here…
My son and I like the tank game - unfortunately, once you lose, you start again at level 1, which is supremely frustrating.
I agree with most people who say that it’s worth $10, but not $25.
The pool (billiards) game is fun, but even less developed than most of the Wii Sports fare. The tanks game is awesome if you can get my roommate to stop shooting at you. The cow racing is pretty fun. Most of the others are pretty uninteresting.
The shooting game is great fun with two wiimotes and no talent at all. I’m getting pretty good at two-gun shooting!
I also like the air hockey.
Plus, extra games parents can understand. I appreciate that. I was getting really sick of baseball.
