Buying your Magic the Gathering Card collections

I just wanted to say that doing business with Ender was smooth and easy. He paid .10 and paid for the shipping just like he promised. Look forward to doing business with him sometime again in the future.

whoops i meant to say .10 cents a card and shipping

Glad to hear. I’ll try to arrange a deal in about 2-3 months. Once I move in to my new place and get settled in I plan on doing a total overhaul of my collection.

Thanks mjr_sfgiants, glad it all worked out for both of us. And welcome again to the SDMB.

Enderw24 it’s been almost a year since you started this, and there are some pretty big numbers mentioned at places in the thread.

I’m curious, how many cards have you accumulated so far?

I have no idea. I’d have to go home and count. I think right now I have around 20,000 at a guess. In the last month or two I’ve really slowed the accumulation and selling of cards. At a high I probably had around 35,000, which is still nothing compared to some crazy collectors out there.

If you’re still looking for MTG cards, I have a bulk amount I am looking to get rid of. I tried to send you a PM however it informed me that your box is full and you need to clear more space before receiving any new PMs. I’ve got around 3,000 cards, 250+ of which are rares. I have a list of the rares typed up if you’re interested I can send that to you once you have some free space in your inbox.

Hi Aversin

Thanks for the post. I’ve cleared away space so feel free to shoot me that pm now. Thanks!

I found all my cards over the weekend. PM on its way.

Yes, I’d like to add to this, too. I gave him my cards, if he just paid for the shipping, and as I recall, he even threw in a dollar or so extra just for my trouble.

Hey names Matt, Actually you would be better off purchasing two deck boxes! (usually ten dollars for a beginners deck target has um!) especially for a fair fun game and rule books. Magic is actually pretty complex and takes a good minute to go over. The organized rule books will have you up and playing a game in no time though. Starters usually include random cards so one person can attempt to make a deck customized by them personally, two decks is better for two people, and may even save you money!

I am looking to buy magic cards as well! The kids at camp love to play and it would be an awesome surprise to be able to give them some cards and I am willing to pay as well! Please contact me if your looking to give cards regardless of value or what they do. Some kids just stack them in two piles and play. You can find me on facebook- Nicholas Mathew gates. - My real name is Matthew, but that’s a pen name for writing and you can find me there and message me. I will send money via paypal and I can receive your message by nightfall typically when I get out of work. Eviltwin5559 Is my email

It will be interesting to see and hear what Sue Son will play next in the Semi-Finals of Britain’s Got Talent show. Perhaps ‘Classical Gas’ which, I think, will suit her style of playing on the electric violin.

11Same problem. I have Edmonton Escort Reference Version Edmonton Escorts 14 and an Asus G73Jh quad Edmonton Asian Escort core w lots of memory. Very fast on encoding to FLAC. All 8 cores used. Desperately slow going Edmonton Asian Escorts from FLAC to audio (not data) CD. Nero does it in 2 minutes or less.

Reported.

That’s insane. Were someone to try actually participating in such a system, there’s nothing stopping you from sending it on without donating to the people above you. Worse, why not just go create 5 new email addresses, and re-send it with yourself in all five spots?

Who falls for this stuff?

Thanks mjr_sfgiants, glad it all worked out for both of us. And welcome again to the SDMB.

Thought I’d bump this in case anyone is still subscribed. I used to play pretty heavily for a couple years in the early 90’s. Mostly 3rd edition, but I have some betas of (what were then) low-end cards. Apparently even the low-end cards are worth something now.

Kind of frustrating. SOMEONE would want these, and I could use the money (my 6-year-old computer is on it’s last legs, and I need to upgrade/repair), but I have no idea how to connect with a buyer. I live in Hooterville these days, and don’t get out much due to illness, or I’d go to a tournament and make some contacts.

I have a beta Birds of Paradise that guides in the neighborhood of $1,000 mint. It’s in played condition and no one REALLY goes by the guides, so I would let it go for far, far less, though still 3 figures.

Most are in played condition, as I was a player, not a collector. NONE are in what I would call bad or unplayable condition-no stains, rips, creases, or obvious wear that would distinguish it from other cards. Some are near-mint/mint - though not the betas.

Also in beta: Flashfires, Disintegrate x2, giant growth, shatter x2, earthbind x3, and a standard forest.

In Legends, I have a Chain Lightning, Lifeblood, and 4 Wolverine packs

3rd edition: Birds of paradise x2, mind twist x2, Sol Ring x2, various and sundry cards like Kird Apes, Serra Angels, Sengir Vampires, White Knights, Dragon Whelps, etc. No lands. I have more, but there’s only about 120 MTG cards in total.

On the fun side, I have both halves of a B.F.M., Arena and Windseeker Centaur (both of which you could only get by buying MTG novels, AFAIK), an Equinox in Italian, and nine autographed cards by 3 different artists which I sent away to be signed.

Not a complete accounting, but should give you an idea. If I get interest, I’ll send a complete list. I can scan important cards like the beta Birds and send a pic.

I have a Topps Traded Barry Bonds card from 1986, a Mario Lemuiex 1986 Topps, and a complete set of sportflics Upper Deck cards from the 1994 All-star game, which were only available at the Fan-Fest (limited to 10,000 sets). All kept in plastic cases/boxes. These could be had for anything that makes it worthwhile to go to the post office.

I have thousands of MTG cards sitting in a dry, safe place - about a thousand miles away from here. Can’t get 'em right now though. Too much to ship, too far to drive. Gah!
