The glögi is hitting me. I probably should have eaten more today. Bzzzzzzzz…
We went down to the beach and lit flares for The Ring of Fire and Hope. (They gave the flares away free at the visitor’s center.) We met a couple of neighbours. There’s still over four hours to go until the New Year. And there’s still vodka-enhanced mulled wine left.
Hey, what’s the NYE celebration like up there? Is it anything like on the 4th of July?
Not so much, fireworks-wise. But the night is still early.
The Ring of Fire and Hope is where people light road flares around the bay – creating a ring of fire (and, one assumes, hope). There are some sparse segments, but it’s cool to see flares roughly outlining the bay. There were a few fireworks, and several of the lit balloons. I can hear a few explosions outside. But nothing like Canada Day through the 4th of July.
Oh, goodie. Vodka and orange juice.
What’s this glogi and where can one get some?
Nicely buzzed in the EST on Moet Chandon aka White Star. Happy new year.
Mulled wine, often fortified with vodka. I used a bottle of pinot noir and a bottle of port. plus a cup and a half of vodka and mulling spice.
