In this thread, you showed yourself to be a complete and utter moron, and a misogynist to boot.
I simply don’t believe that the average policeman is anything other than completely sympathetic to victims of sex crimes, although there will always be aberations. I also fail to see why a female police officer would be preferable to male, they’re all police.
A bit naive and clueless, perhaps?
It gets better:
You say most rapists are known to the victim and get off scot free, the question has to be if they never go to trial how do you know there was a rape at all? The cryptofeminist UK Home Office says about a third of reported rapes don’t get to trial because the situation is ambiguous, usually when the two parties knew each other. If there’s no proof a rape occured there’s no reason to believe a rape occured.
And
There is no reason at all a man who hasn’t been raped is less able to understand the mental state of a rape victim than a woman who hasn’t been raped. Your use of the word desecrated shows your old-fashioned attitudes. Emotionally charged hysteria isn’t surprising given these views. Thinking of women as holy shouldn’t be in this day and age.
Women are no more empathetic than men, especially towards women, no more able to put themselves in someone else’s place. The philosopher Otto Weininger convincingly argued that this is a solely male preserve.
Someone posted some opinions that Otto Weininger had, especially on women:
When pointed out that Weininger was a violent anti-Semite:
I don’t see what’s so wrong with Otto Weininger, apart from the anti-Semitism, of course. He was a genius, a brilliant man. He was a product of early twentieth century Austria so it would be expected of him to be anti-Semitic. The anti-Semitism in “Sex & Character” is mostly aimed at likening Jews to women as a way to “badmouth” women, he was using what would be understaadable then and there to point out how women are. Even Jesus spoke in ways understandable to those around him to point out greater truths.
His opinions on women are alright, though, although I don’t really think he went far enough. He made it clear he didn’t believe the “absolute woman” to exist, nullifying all of his words up to that point. He refused to follow his own reasoning to the obvious conclusion, that women should not be treated as fully human.
He wasn’t a misogynist, either, he merely voiced unpopular views of women. He was a visionary. He was an intellectual coward who killed himself because no-one bought his books, until he was dead anyway. He was still brilliant.
Get the fuck over yourself, and kindly, do not presume to tell women that they’re “hysterical” over rape.
Got to admit, that’s the first time I’ve ever heard the UK Home Office described as “cryptofeminist”. There may be more intelligent comment forthcoming, once my mind has stopped boggling at that one.
Some strange reasoning on Blue John ’s part, re: Otto Weininger. B-J says that:
and
but extroardinarily that
huh?
We’re wasting our time with this one, Guin . Seems like a little misology mixed up with the misogyny.
Puerile drivel such as this:
Makes me agree with FranticMad :
I don’t take Blue John seriously.
His/Its ideas are so ludicrous, that they could just be a game. I mean he refers to Otto Weininger! Hello? This is a joke. Admittedly, a rather sick joke. His/its whole thread is meant to provoke, not to enlighten. I would use the word t-r-o-l-?, but politeness forbids such open expression of my opinion.
Then there’s this gem
To put it simple, the only thing womens do better than men are gestate, lactate and give birth. Men are more important to the maintenance and advancement of society while women only donate the next generation to society.
from here.
If you search on his posts you will find every single one of them has them same theme. I think Blue John needs to get a hobby.
Yeah, but DanielWithrow said for someone to Pit him, so I did.

When can we start discussing hummus recipes then?
::d&r::
Well, of course not. I’M part goddess.
Actually, speaking of hummous, I was going to ask, how does one make dhal? I picked up some green lentils and some chick-peas. Now what?
Yikes…yeah these attitudes are pretty scary. I like to think that we live in a world where most of humanity does judge people on the basis of race or gender or religion…but sadly I am often proven wrong.

avalongod : I would like to live there to. We have to accept that that world doesn not exist, unfortunately. I like to think that most of the people on this board are above that, however.
There, there, Guin . I didn’t mean that you shouldn’t have pitted the fool. <yuk, yuk>. It’s just that after re-reading some of this junk, I’m beginning to think it’s a sick joke.
And YOU ! Samarm ! Don’t think that I don’t see you, following behind me posting where I’ve been posting !!!

Jesus, i stopped visiting the rape thread some time ago because i thought the issue had pretty much played itself out. Seems like there has been lots of action since my last visit, although the arguments haven’t changed a great deal - especially from the idiots like Blue John .
Did you see his post from the Why only men get drafted for war thread? It said, in part,
To put it simple [our B J does that quite well] , the only thing [sic] womens [sic] do better than men are gestate, lactate and give birth. Men are more important to the maintenance and advancement of society while women only donate the next generation to society. The birthrate speaks for itself, women aren’t doing that. Women are more expendable, it’s as simple as that.
Holy shit! is all i can say to that.
Hey, Guin , this one’s going a bit better than your clawsofcat pitting, isn’t it.
I don’t know what to add other than to amen the OP and heartily agree that Blue John has quickly shown himself to be a rather large tool. Even if he’s trolling he’s still a fucking tool.
We didn’t read the whole thread before we posted, did we? :dubious:

Oops. I actually did read the whole thing, but then i linked to that other thread and couldn’t recall…
Oh fuck the explanations, i’m an idiot OK?
**He refused to follow his own reasoning to the obvious conclusion, that women should not be treated as fully human.
He wasn’t a misogynist, either…**
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Oh wait, is there a rant here? I’m sorry, I was distracted.
These are good seeds. Come back in a few days for fruit.
