“Playing god” is when the state decides to sentence someone to death and then executes him. Or, later, decides to spare him. It was not my decision that Limbaugh go deaf and I would not have made it happen even if I had the power to do so. I’m just watching it happen (and hoping he learns from it). As to whether I would have prevented it, I probably would have, but I would have regretted it later if he never changed and kept spewing forth his mis-informative radio show.
