Never watched her show, but I was really impressed by her Daily Show appearance last week. She said two pretty profound, sensible things in one interview. Even one is too much of a challenge for most people.
In case you’re wondering what they were, it was something along the lines of: “this issue was too complicated for me to talk about in a short radio or TV bit, so I decided I’d have to write a book about it”, and “the disconnect between the American people and the American military is the result of a number of well-meaning incremental changes in defense policy by a succession of presidents”. I gather the latter is the premise of her book.
There are online sources for Current TV. Sometimes as many as a half dozen. Sometimes last week there were only two and they were somewhat difficult to manipulate. But as recently as last Friday online sources for Current TV were there.

I’m not even sure Olberman believes all the left wing shit he spews. It’s his schtick, as many have pointed out. He is probably a straight ticket voting democrat, no doubt. But he has tried hard over the years to develop his “act”. His arrogance is one thing that has annoyed so many people on so many levels and at so many networks, he really has done the impossible… he’s become virtually unhireable in a world with limitless media outlets. He just got fired from a network I never knew existed. It doesn’t go much lower.
I hate him. I’ve always hated him. And I hated him before he went political. He was a very annoying prick doing sports, because he thought he was the smartest and funniest guy in the room. ESPN was well rid of him when FOX tried to build their fledgling sports channel around him. You can guess how that worked out. It’s beyond politics with this guy. He is truly in love with himself.
A 24 carat gold plated douche bag. I hope to never see or hear him again (without my dying, of course). I don’t wish him to die, either. He will suffer much more by being out of the public eye and having to deal with the fact that he’s really the only annoying fuck on either side of the political spectrum that can’t keep a job.
I will give him some credit, though. You’d think he’d suck Al Gore’s dick to be around him on a daily basis, getting to work closely with the former VP. But he’s no Chris Matthews… if Obama gets involved in the media and hires Matthews, he can go to work every day and feel a tingle running up his leg like he admitted to during the 2008 election.
He never bothered me. Maybe I didn’t watch him enough for it to get old. He hatred of Bush was something we could share.
I could care less about Olberman, I’ve never really liked him. Occasionally I’d agree with him but his approach is always one I disagree with.
I will defend Spitzer though. Cockhound? He wasn’t chasing cock as far as a know. I think he would barely fit my definition of scumbag.

As much as I like Keith - I think there’s blame to go round here. Current had his set dark for a very long time and I don’t know what the fuck was up with that.
Cenk and Gov. Granholm don’t seem to be having quite so many ongoing technical problems in California, so what’s the deal with these fuckups in New York that can’t be solved, or put up another set while fixing the other? The Current website is alright although it could show whole episodes more often.

I don’t like Olbermann’s style of journalism and he’s been working for corporate stations for the entirety of the time I’ve known him. However, I haven’t watched any clips where I think he’s saying something that beggars belief or it seems he doesn’t really believe what he’s saying. Unlike O’Reilly, he’s also managed to avoid hypocritical legal trouble.
