I swear this has nothing to do with any new year’s resolutions.
But, this has been as good a time as any to evaluate my contributions here, and here’s contributions to me. Talley? Couple negatives, really. All in all I don’t weigh in here with much positive to say about anything, always the pessemist, certainly not a particularly complex thinker. And while I do not profess to have ignorance licked, I’m not getting much out of here either–nothing that’s really relevant to my meagre little existence.
So…bye. Love some of y’all forever, don’t know most of you anyway, and to one or two of ya, well, I wish nothing but horror and misery for you.
I need some light, and I’m not going to find it here where I’ve shed so much of my own personal darkness. Instead, I’ll be focusing my energies on Habitat For Humanity projects and visiting some of Colorado’s 14k peaks.
I will miss you. I always found your comments worthwhile, and we seemed to share many of the same interests. Plus, I loved your work in The Princess Bride.
I do hope you come back at least to check this thread. I found this:
to be false. Even if you never post again, you should know that you rank as a “useful” poster in my opinion; if I saw you as the last poster in a GQ thread, I’d click to read what you wrote, and I believe that you’ve contributed (at least to my understanding).
Having said that, I can’t argue that in the long run, Habitat for Humanity is at least as important as GQ. Best of luck to you.
