Sure, people went overboard with the “100 _____ Characters” threads in Cafe Society yesterday, but a real mod wouldn’t have needed to close them en masse. If he wanted to kill “100 Waiting for Godot characters” or “100 My Dinner with Andre characters,” I’ve got no problem with that. But some of those threads were legit, and were following the basic idea (once informed of the ground rules, which came late in at least one such thread), and it was interesting to see the quotes that people pulled up for the characters. But apparently Mr. Stuffy decided to toss the baby out with the bathwater, and closed them all down.

Hey they were fun if you liked the subject, but even I thought having half the first page of Café Society being 100… lists was inane and I am one of the most inane* posters on the board.
