Cake and Cashmere (Or Not) - A Crafty MMP

Dogbutler? cartoon time!

Election’s over - our referendum passed, much celebrating in the land.

Now - sleep.

I’m bored. I’ve got a lot to do, but it requires running a process which is running really really sloooooowly this morning. So until that gets done, there’s not much else for me to do. Bleh. I hate being bored like this.

Hey y’all! Busyin’ away with stuff here. Just zoomin’ by to wave.

First off, we had us some baaaaaaad weather here last night about quitting time and a possible tornado out in Oveido. I’m hoping fcm’s baby girl wasn’t anywheres near there. One of my brothers lives out that way and I haven’t heard from him but that’s not unusual.

Nextus, bibi cute pics. The crockpot one is a hoot!

Happy Hump Day everybody!

Tupug

I have lots of work to do. I do not want to do it. That is all.

Take your pick

It’s been a productive morning. I’ve had coffee and an omelet, read the paper and am cleaning the frige. I even helped fight ignorance in the Nearsightedness thread.

Hi to everyone who’s zooming and humping. <snerk>

You are one sick puppy!

I’ll second that. Where are the cartoons of the cat locking the dog (or the rat) out of the house or something?

Magic is entirely too smart. When I left the cat suite this morning, the door didn’t completely catch on the latch. He hears that - and pushes it open to release all of the cats into the house. I spent 45 minutes this morning rounding up cats.

Got Connor’s road bag down to the office for the away games this weekend - we don’t have a home game until the 17th which bites. I also got the BC meeting reminder postcards mailed. My “to do” list is clean for the moment.

I didn’t sleep well last night. I am going to nap.

This week both school and work have been ganging up and trying their best to kill me.

I took Sunday to completely ignore everything that I had to do and instead celebrated Guy Fawkes day by taking my lady friend to a screening of V For Vendetta (I had other plans, but apparently the school has issues with burning effigies of the pope, go figure).

At work Friday is a government holiday, which means that even though I don’t technically get the day off the office will be closed and I simply won’t get paid for the day . Such are the woes of being a contractor in a government office thousands of miles from my company. On top of that our production schedule which usually runs to the 12[sup]th[/sup] now needs to be complete on the 9[sup]th[/sup], so I am swamped.

Speaking of cashmere (it was mentioned in the OP, I’m just a little behind) I got a new cashmere topcoat yesterday and it is wonderful. I blew most of my excess spending money for the next couple of weeks, but it was worth it.

You needn’t worry Rosie, I’m pretty sure that quoting 1776 (also known as the greatest musical ever) exonerates you for not voting, regardless of your reasons.

Funny.

Yes, Molly is a lab. But she hates to get wet. It’s raining to day, and she’s afraid to go outside to pee. Dumb dog.

I don’t think I’ve ever met a dog that didn’t like getting wet. Are you sure your cat isn’t telling him horror stories when they’re alone?

Today is a very bleh day, brought to me in part by the icky gray and rainy weather. My activities for the rest of the day will consist of some combination of doing homework, eating food, and watching anime.

… Come to think of it, my life is pretty good. In honor of the election kerfluffle, here’s a political pun[del]dit[/del] for you:

Ali (May I call you Ali?), what’s your major?

An automatic door has gone berserk! The problem may be spiders! We’re being besieged by spiders! Well, not now, cause mass spicercide just happened, so maybe door will get happy now.

No, the cat likes to get wet. He jumps in the bathtub after we shower and rolls around in the wetness. He’s weird.

When I shove the dog outside (because I know damn well she has to go potty), she stands there looking at me with those pleading eyes.
“Let me back in! I’m getting wet! Yeah, I have to pee, but I’ll wait!”

SCL, it’s a chihuahua, not a rat. What’s up with the sudden rodent fixation?

swampy, you should welcome your new arachnid overlords. Or hit them with mopheads.

Or throw Policies & Procedures at them. Big, bound volumes make for a world of hurt on arachnids every time they’re tried.

yes, because the round rubber gasket thingys would bounce right off the spiders…

Actually it was a dustmop sprayed with insecticide followed by a cleaning with Simple Green [sup]TM[/sup]. Twas lots of fun.

Ali’s just fine. I am currently finishing up my Computer Science undergrad. My classes are really not that hard in and of themselves, but frankly I hate my major and cannot motivate myself to put any effort into it anymore. Unfortunately for me I came to this conclusion far enough into school that it would be counter productive for me to switch majors, so instead I am going to finish my B.S. in CS and then go on to get a grad degree in something I actually want to do.

I am sure I’ve seen it mentioned before but while I know that you are in grad school for something, what it is I cannot recall.
