Calcium for energy?

So there used to be a guy hawking coral calcium as a cure-all and one of the claims was that you would have more energy.

If we ignore for a moment the claim that coral calcium is better than regular calcium supplements, is it true that taking calcium will boost your energy?

I started thinking about this because there have been studies that taking some dairy daily helps women lose weight - and I started to wonder if it was simply the calcium in the dairy helped boost their energy, thus letting them do more.

Calcium can block some fat absorption in the intestines. That’s why** replacing** some foods with calcium-rich food could yield better results when trying to to lose weight. I’ve read various studies and many seem credible. One even had testers measuring the fat content of human feces of different groups on different diets (one high in calcium). Calcium rich = feces with more fat in it.

Has nothing to do with energy.
