Californians, Did You Move From Another State or Country?

Moved to CA from Australia.

4th generation. My kids are 5th. But we moved out of state to OR, then to MO, then back. Want me to vote?

Moved from Taiwan. But I was a kid so its not like I had a choice. But I’m so glad I’m here, it fits my personality

Native Californian here, and a 3rd generation Sacramentan on my mother’s side.

But, but, but…rivalry!
Or, for you Southern Californians, “the” rivalry

Kudos…I laughed out loud.

But so long as your half of the state is stuck with “Jefferson,” I think we win.

Came from the Great State of Ohio!

Lived in Los Angeles for nearly 30 years.

Now live in Northern California. It’s beautiful, and we love it. Except for all the damned Giants fans of course.

Yeah, 3rd gen Sackamenna kid myself… but around 9-10th gen New Englander (1636, at least) in the same line, so here we is.

Great-great granpap was a '49er.

I voted as being native Californian, but I did live in Virginia for five years after I got out of the Air Force, then I moved back.

Yeah, you forgot ‘None: native Californian here, but I moved away.’

My parents are both native Californians, but all of us kids were born in Oregon. They moved “back” when I was 15. I’ve had my fill, so my (native CAian) wife and I are moving to Washington at the end of the year.

I don’t currently live there (If you can count 2 months as living there) but I was a transplant for a while.

California is awesome, it has the best of everything. Art, science, education, culture, scenery, etc. Who wouldn’t want to move there. Real estate is a bitch though, but there is a reason real estate costs so much, high demand.

According to that only about 53% of people in California are native to the state. The rest are from other states or nations originally. And that 53% is higher than in the past.

I moved to California from Montreal, but a few years earlier I moved to Montreal from Pennsylvania.

My parents moved to California from Mexico shortly before I was born.

I have lived elsewhere for quite large stretches of time but my ‘permanent’ address has always been in California.

Montreal: nice city. My company has an office close to McGill, on rue de Bleury. Montreal is in France, no?

Add this to that list: the weather!

Yeah, but I’m looking for those who currently live in California. If you don’t, then don’t vote – just like Driver8 (hopefully) didn’t.

And, still no soup for him!

Close enough, Rick.

Yeah, but did he strike gold???
