Hope to see you in Cleveland soon!: http://rockhall.com/exhibits/rolling-stones-50-years-of-satisfaction/
Looks cool. I’m in the middle of Keef’s autobiography now. Good stuff.
Thanks for the heads up. It would be nice to have a good reason to block out time for a Cleveland trip. I’ve never been.
Seeing guitars under glass kinda doesn’t work for me; I can’t help but obsess about the fact that these perfectly great tools aren’t being used ;). And it’s not like they’d have Keef’s Micawber or Woody’s metal-front Zemaitis on display. Perhaps Brian Jones’ Vox Teardrop…
Seeing handwritten lyric sheets, posters, outfits, etc -that would be cool; and if anybody kept track of all that it was the Stones.
I know that people love to dump on the Rock HoF but I had lots of fun there. I’ll be in Cleveland this summer and this might make it worth stopping back.
I wish I was closer. Seen 'em four times since '79. Love to make it a ‘soft’ five.
One for the Thumb.
Hope I have a reason to get around Cleveland. The Stones are a world treasure, let’s enjoy them while we still can. What always impresses me is how well they interview, Mick and Keith are not only incredible talents, they’re damn smart and quite articulate.
PM me! It’d be great to finally meet you.
I dunno, the Rock Hall never impressed me.
But if you do go, the Great Lakes Science Center is right next door, and is also worth a visit.
