Somehow I got into a discussion of Alanis Morissette’s “Ironic” on another board, and happened to mention a lesbian comedian I’d seen a while ago that had a routine about it, along the lines of “Rain on your wedding day is not ironic, it’s unfortunate. A Scotsman cloning a sheep, on the other hand…”

I can’t for the life of me remember the name of this woman, and while matt is the acknowledged lesbian comedian expert, I’m throwing this open to anyone who happens to know the answer. Who am I looking for, dammit!?

I know she was a medium-to-dark-haired, kind of butch woman, but that and the above snippet are all I remember for sure…

I’m (obviously) not the OP, but I definitely remember Ms. Matthews’ routine, and that line was there.

“Do I need to announce that I’m gay? Is there anyone in the back thinking ‘Hrm, Sabrina, what an odd name for a teenage boy?’”

I saw that bit too, I think it was indeed Sabrina Matthews.

I didn’t remember her name, but I know I’ve seen her before. I just Googled “Scotsman cloning a sheep” and several hits attributed the joke to her.
