I am using FitDay PC, which is a desktop version of the calorie-counting website. Does anybody have any familiarity with this sort of software? Some parts of FitDay do not seem to be very user-friendly. What other software do you recommend? I do like: weight goals, built-in food database, ability to have more than one profile without signing it. I don’t like: not being able to share custom foods between profiles; the clunky way of putting in new activities vs existing ‘background’ activities, and some general non intuitiveness. Suggestions?
You might try Sparkpeople.com
I used to use Fitday as well and switched to this site. Interface is a little easier and they have a large data base you can reference for common products or restaurant meals. Also they have a recipe calculator where you can put your ingrediants in and determine a serving size and get the calorie count for home cooked meals as well.
I’m over at Sparkpeople (same user name.) We even have a SDMB team!
Calorie Count is another option.
