A friend of mine sent me a link today about a game that’s currently being developed as a kickstarter called Camelot Unchained. For any older MMORPG players, it’s very similar to the old Dark Age of Camelot game that, I believe is still about though with (I imagine) few players left at this point. It was a pretty cool game, however, where the Realm verse Realm aspects were pretty fun to play.
At any rate, was wondering if any 'dopers were looking into this and thinking of supporting the kickstarter and playing the game. It’s not going to be out until 2015, so it’s going to be a LONG while. I’ve never participated in a kickstarter before, so I’m a bit leery to plop down several hundred dollars on something that I won’t be playing for at least a year (the beta is supposed to start sometime early next year, and perhaps I’d be able to play an early alpha version too if I plopped down the money), but watching the videos on the linked page the game certainly LOOKS like it might be cool. I like the idea of custom built player houses and cities, as well as the keep/castle defense I presume will be in there since it was in DAoC, as well as the RvR aspects (including fully RvR dungeons).
