I wear a camo shirt as a jacket 80% of the time (I don’t carry a purse and it holds my wallet, keys, phone, book, etc)
I usually don’t try to wear more than 1 item at a time, but if its laundry day and I have to wear my camo normally-reserved-for-paintball pants, or put a camo bandanna on over my hair, so be it.
And no, it doesn’t matter if they match, since its not on purpose anyway.
I have a cheap desert camo hat that I wear when gardening (full brim all the way around). If I attempt to wear it anywhere near my friends they have seizures and don’t want to be around me.
I have a camo “do rag” that I bought for paintball to wear under my facemask (I’m close to bald so it helps keep the sun off, and it also helps prevent sweat from running into my eyes). It’s great under my bike helmet as well for the same reasons.
Aside from that when I’m wearing camo because I need to be camoflaged (paintball) I’ve got MARPAT pants and long-sleeve tshirt, they match.
I hadn’t worn much camo until very recently. I have a Gap Outlet near work, so now I have a pair of camo cargo shorts, 2 pairs of camo cargo pants, and 2 camo t-shirts. The shirts are a different pattern than the shorts or pants, and in fact I don’t think Gap bothers to match its camo patterns or colors.
The camo pants are my after work/weekend/awake-before-going-to-work pants.
I usually only wear one camo item at a time (not counting hats). And even though I’m roadkill on the fashion superhighway and always argue that camo goes wth everything (that’s the point right) I don’t think I’ve ever mixed camo patterns / colors unless it was while I was hunting in cold weather – then I’ll pile on whatever I’ve got.
I love my camo. It’s not ‘real’ camo, though. I try not to wear more than one item at a time.
I like the blue, purple and gray colors, personally.
I get all my stuff here: http://www.teamcamogear.com/color.php?color_id=7
Although I wouldn’t be caught dead wearing camo, I don’t hold it against people who do. I like the look of it and can appreciate it when other people wear it.
I really don’t think people should wear more than two items of camo at the same time (unless they are actually using it as camouflage, of course).
If you must wear more than two items, then it is better if one of them is black/white/gray camo. Grey camo pants with green jacket over a solid shirt is fine.
IF you must wear camo pants, top and hat (why?) then match the hat to the pants and make the top different.
Yes, when I am duck hunting I wear Camo waders, shirt, bandanna(around my face), and hat.
I like Mossy Oak Shadowgrass because it matches the terrain around here pretty well and it matches very well with the pothole country of North Dakota.
I too only wear it when I’m hunting, and then the degree matters on the prey. Sometimes just a camo shirt and jeans, sometimes full body, including mask and gloves. Not all of it matches but I find that of little consequence.
I always figured wearing camo means you are either ex-military (and miss it) or you are a hunter. You can also wear camo if you want to pretend you’re in one of those groups. I was never military, and I have only been hunting a few times. I’d feel like a faker if I wore camo routinely.
I have only one set of insulated coveralls, and they’re in camo. So, when it’s really, really cold, I’ll be in Mossy Oak®.
I feel that it got out of hand with the camo baby clothes and the pink camo for girls–with sparkles. Where is pink camo supposed to allow you to hide anyway? The Barbie aisle at Toys R Us?
I don’t wear camo, but as a G’ma, I knit clothes w/camo-shaded yarns. I made my 6-yr-old grandson a camo sweater. He thanked me, but said the camo was jungle shades & requested desert camo for the next item. A craft magazine has a camo-yarn baby blanket. Why?
