Can anybody identify Mr. Rubiales wrist watch?

I guess everybody has heard of the president of the Spanish Football Federation, Mr. Rubiales, after the unsolicited kiss he gave Jenni Hermoso, here is a picture:

The big square watch he is wearing has me intrigued ever since I first noticed it. Does anybody know what make or model that is?
I wonder whether it has gained or lost popularity since the incident.

Some model of this: SANTOS DE CARTIER

Thanks, that was fast!
ETA: By far not as expensive as I thought, BTW.

Depends on your standards I guess. The watch that I am wearing now is the most expensive one that I ever bought. It cost $60.

My most expensive watch ever was a couple of hundred of Euros, but for the people who like to show watches off (and earn over 600,000 €/year, like Mr. Rubiales) those amounts in the low thousands are small money. What really expensive watches can cost is obscene, and those mafia related honorable FIFA watch wavers often have several. So under 10,000 € looks almost reasonable in this case, considering who he is and how he behaves. I had expected one zero or two more.

That’s a pretty fucked-up string of events. He repeatedly insisted she was okay with it (“consent” was the word used), and the woman he kissed had to publicly state that she wasn’t. Now he’s refusing to resign and they’re taking steps to have him removed. He’ll probably face charges and be banned from analogous professional activity. Creepy fuck looks like Mussolini.

That’s sort of surprise. With cell phones and smart watches, the watch world seems to be polarizing into people that don’t bother with one or go big for various reasons. My only really cheap watch is a Timex Ironman for workouts. The next cheapest is a Cartier like the one above, though quartz and bought used, for dressier occasions.

I’ve had the same watch on my left wrist for 30 years now. In that time it has never left my wrist. How is this possible? It is a tattoo of a watch.

Ugh that picture again.

Set to what time?

4:20, of course.

It’s funny, some people notice the time and laugh. Others ask the time and when I tell them twenty minutes after four, they laugh. Then there are the people who ask and when I tell them they nod their head and say something about it being almost the end of the work day.

And his mom is on a hunger strike until people quit taking shots at her son.

There’s a novelty watch I saw on Youtube where the time is always “now.”

Cartier watches tend to cover a broad range of prices in each series model. In the US the Santos line goes from US$4,000 to $68,000 depending on size, material, and movement. You can have one like the one portrayed that is either $13,000 or $36,000 and only a total horology nerd being able to tell.

Hey, he was wearing it out in the crowd, and getting handsy wearing it. He may be saving the really fancy one for when he has audiences with the king or when he wants to impress a big star of the men’s league.
