I find blogs or forum posts following a big event, like 9-11, interesting to read. I obviously know what the outcome is, but it’s interesting to follow along with the progress of events and what people say or theorize at that time.
On that note, has anyone on SDMB, or any other forum that you know of, had a regular member who won a significant amount of money?
No, but I did do a search for the SDMB posts from 9/11. I remember that being a big communication and lifeline that day, and in the days that followed. There were several SDMB members that worked in the World Trade Center as well, and a lot of concern for them.

There’s been a poster or three who has claimed to have won the Lottery, but strangely enough they seem to get banned shortly thereafter.
