A while back, I was channel-surfing and stumbled onto a movie on one of the Christian stations that was actually really good (and had an 8-plus rating on IMDB too!). I only saw a section of it, and wrote down the title but then lost it, and cannot seem to find the title; maybe the lookup terms I’m using are too generic.
From what I saw, it’s about a Jewish teenage girl whose Christian friends invite her to join their youth group, and she goes and wishes to become a Christian but doesn’t want to betray her ancestry. It was made within the past 3 to 5 years.
Anyone know what I’m talking about?
Bumping this thread: I also posted this on another board where I figured I’d be more likely to get a response, and nobody seemed to recognize it over there either.
You can search on imdb by keyword, and narrow it down by year and by rating. I looked a little bit but nothing sounded like what you were looking for, but maybe you’ll have better luck searching there. Being able to eliminate those under an 8.0 rating should narrow your search and maybe help you find it.
This movie really did exist! I wasn’t imagining it.
Could this be it? A quick search of IMDB turned it up.

It’s called “The Sound of the Spirit” and came out in 2012.
As of this evening, the rating was 7.7, which is still very good.
