Can I force my Ipad to the wifi login screen for public wifi?

My issue is this. When I go to McDoald’s or my local doctor, they have free wifi. However, they have a login screen where you have to accept their rules.

A lot of times, my Ipad Air does not redirect to that page. I get the “connected” checkmark, but no webpages open up. Is there a way to force my Ipad to go to the login/sign-in page for internet?

Honestly, I get the same error on my Android Phone. How can I force devices to go to the login screen for wifi connections?

What works for me is disconnecting/reconnecting, or attempting to open a web-page.

When that happens and a refresh of the webpage does not take you to the login page, go into Settings:WiFi and tap on the ‘i’ in the blue circle next to the McDonalds wifi name. Then tap ‘Forget This Network’.

Go back to your browser - when you open a new webpage you should the the login webpage.

At one place where I used guest wireless, the redirect to the login page wouldn’t work if your browser home page is a secure one (i.e., https:// page). So the recommendation was to try to go to an insecure page (i.e., http:// page), and from there, the redirect would occur. (The carrier for the guest wireless suggested www.purple.com for the insecure page, but any will do.)
