Can I get Mountain Dew in China...anywhere?

So I live in China.

I assumed that such a large country would not only have Pepsi and Coke(they do), but would also have different flavors from the same company. You know, Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, Squirt, Cherry Coke, Vanilla Coke, and so forth.

Nope. They have Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, Orange flavor, and Apple(don’t ask).

Has anyone gotten or seen Mountain Dew, the very sustenance of my life in the U.S.A., anywhere in China?

Thanks!

Ahhhhhhhh!!! I just spent my 2000th post on that thread!

Oh, well. It’s a good question.

I’ve never seen it in China.

Then again, I’ve never seen it in Ireland or the UK either, so I’m thinking it might not get that far.

Try USA & Co. in Hong Kong - they might import it and ship it to Tianjin. Or they might have branches in Beijing or Shanghai.

Though why you’d want to drink that muck when there’s wheatgrass juice in a can, I have no idea…

Sorry, haven’t seen it (Beijing, Guiyang, Guangzhou). I also have not seen anything resembling decent beer (that would be Harp, IMHO) either. I did find a root-beer-float flavored soft drink that my daughter (age 15) liked, tho…

Head to the nearest Navy base.

I think I may have seen it here in HK, in Oliver’s Delicatessen. I’ll check it out.

I don’t think the Chinese navy would drink Mountain Dew. Or are you suggesting our friend has to head for Taiwan, Japan or the Philippines?

They have it in Hangzhou, in Zhejiang province.

Really? I’m visiting there next week. Where did you see it?

You can get it in Korea. All you have to do is take a boat across the Yellow Sea.

I see it in the consessions (damn good consessions) in the library. You can also find it in the convience stores), I lived near a Kedi store in Hangzhou that has it too. No problem.

I live in a smaller city, and I come to Hangzhou to buy Gatorade, I buy a case at a time. I’m on a diet so no Pepsi products for me.
