That’s what I’ve always wondered, as well… c’mon, Mangetout… at least give us little hints!

I dunno, but do a Google search using “kingdom of butter” (include quotes), and you’ll find him on not one, but two other boards. 
I actually live in the UK, but the UK is not the Kingdom of Butter.
A bit of a long story and one that you really have to have been there to appreciate, but here is the full explanation:
Quite a few years ago, I worked alongside a brilliant and funny man(sadly he is now dead); he was what you’d get if you mixed up Oscar Wilde, Peter Sellers and Tony Hancock, then threw in a couple of slices of Eric Morecambe… I owe him a great deal in terms of my outlook on life and my taste in humour.
We worked as auditors in a company that ran a number of shops in UK airports; one day he was musing on what seemed to be ever more narrow speciality outlets; no longer did we have a single store that sold travel accessories, but now we had Tie Rack, Briefcase World, Umbrella-U-Like and Sunglass Hut (OK, I made a couple of those up); he launched into an engaging and hugely funny monologue/rant on the subject; one of the possibilities he foresaw in the realm of airport speciality shops would be a store that sold only butter, Kingdom Of Butter would be the name… Margarine? Sorry, we don’t sell it.
Like I said, you had to be there.
I see that his username has indeed been changes, but interestingly, on the “About This Message Board” front page, the thread is still listed as being started by Spider Jerusalem.

Yes, the thread list stores the username as data and does not update it, so the name will stay “Spider Jerusalem” even though the username has been changed.
And clicking the “search” button isn’t fooled by name changes, so you can’t escape your shameful posting history by changing your name.
