So, of course, I’m being a little sarcastic, but as I’ve been racking my mind for the last year or so concerning what field I need to be looking into for grad school (political science, anthropology, international relations, foreign policy, international law, sociology, etc.) I’ve come at least to the realization that the nucleus around which all of my studies seem to spin is “peace,” or perhaps more aptly “conflict prevention.” Which is to say that I’m very interested in international relations, foreign policy, cultures, languages, development, etc. because, in the end, I’m interested in finding out how we (the peoples of the world) can effectively communicate, how we can find a common foundation from which to start, and, in the end, how we can resolve some of the problems we have in the world.
What department(s) should I be looking into when I peruse grad school catalogs and websites?
