Can someone explain the Taylor Swift phenomenon to me?

Yes, I can block them, but I don’t know which one is the real Elon.

I’m just kidding, I blocked the real Elon ages ago. I block off of posts I see. Most of my followers are bots, I’m sure. I don’t care. As long as they don’t bother me, they can follow me. They never interact with me.

You can do what’s called a “hard block” or a “soft block”. When you click on “block”, that creates a hard block: Neither of you can see each other’s posts and neither can follow the other. To create a soft block, click on “block” then immediately unblock that account. The effect is that he is removed from your followers, but he can still see your posts.

Just don’t name the kid anything that rhymes with Conn. That would be cruel.

Kami Conn?

Rahm Conn?

These are pathetic clowns. They aren’t sexy. Good men do not call women ugly (hard eyeroll) and they certainly don’t talk about whether they have any eggs left. ick Too early for these idiots to get on my nerves, but there it is.

I’m sure their ideal girlfriend isn’t above 14 years old or so.

They only see women as incubators for their spawn. They continue to prove this endlessly.

Plus those women are cruelly holding back something these men think they deserve.

It’s an ugly, arrested development mindset.

Shaka Conn?

If they’re gonna be superficial, I can be, too. Bunch of pathetic uggos.

Browsing Amazon Prime tonight, I see that the Eras Tour Movie just became available for streaming - but only as a 48-hour rental, at a price of $19.89 which was no doubt dictated by Tay-Tay Herself.

I fully expect it to make all of the money.

It’s her birthday today, probably not a coincidence.

But did she deserve to be the Person of the Year? It doesn’t bring attention to someone who’s done important work or highlight an important issue. She’s just really famous. :man_shrugging:

That’s not a requirement for Person of the Year. It’s about having an outsized influence on news and events. And not necessarily the most influence or they’d give it to the president most years but someone who uniquely stood out that year in the news whirlwind.

Let’s not discount her contributions to food banks everywhere she performs. She is a large net good for the planet as well as being mega famous.

That’s true, I’d forgotten about that part. I’d still argue Dolly Parton deserves it more just based on cumulative good deeds.

She also donated $1 million to the Tennessee tornado relief fund.

There’s a 2-hour film of her “1989” tour (in 2015) free on Youtube. I just blew my $20 on Eras, so I will report back on how they compare.

I spotted a “Reputations” film as well on one of the streaming services (maybe Prime - can’t remember).

Sorry I aven’t read the entire thread, but search did not show this had been discussed.

Yesterday I saw a house in our neighborhood flying a flag like this one. At first glance, I thought it was a
Trump flag
. It really appeared quite familiar, not only in the colors, font, and design, but even the slogan at the bottom.

Struck me as odd that it would so closely resemble Trump’s well-known flags. Has anyone heard whether TS approves this flag design, or if they are marketed to certain demographics?

I’ve never heard anything to suggest TS is a Trumpie - or even terribly political in any way. If she is NOT a Trumpie, I would think she would be troubled by this apparent attempt to associate her with him.
