A couple weeks back, I tried to use two different text sizes (“1” and “4”) in a single post and it didn’t work. Not only that, I can’t use “1” now and all old posts that had “1” text in them now show the “1” text as larger than the standard text size (“2”?). How do I reset this?
I would much appreciate the answer be given in Dick-and-Jane primer language (not literally), as this computer naïf is still not sure what “cookies” are and what “browser” means.
Thanks for your help.
Did you change the default font size? CTRL + (CTRL and the plus sign pressed at the same time) and CTRL - will increase and decrease the font size. CTRL 0 (CTRL and the zero key) will reset it to the default size. If I recall correctly, this works the same on IE, Firefox, and Chrome.
Test Line Size 1

As engineer_comp_geek points out, make sure your browser default font settings are set first.
Thanks, engineer_comp_geek and Duckster; seems to be back to normal. I made a mental note as to what I did to “correct” it (for next time).
Thanks, again.
Strange. I just now viewed the above post by Duckster with a variety of sizes using Ctrl+ and Ctrl-
In every size, I see what I expect. The bigger the size, the bigger ALL of the sizes are from 1 to 7, and all are in the correct size sequence with respect to one another – not the result that OP has described.
I am using an old version of Firefox on an old version of Linux, with only the standard off-the-shelf fonts installed.
