How did I change my settings?

I apparently did something. The font has shrunk about 50%. I can still read it but it looks weird. I’d like to switch it back to the regular size but I can’t figure out how I changed it in the first place nor can I find out how to change the settings.

Try holding down the CTRL key while rotating the mouse wheel a few clicks forward.

And pressing CTRL and the zero button together returns it to the default size.

Okay, back to normal. Thanks.

The weird thing is it was browser specific.

That’s because it’s a browser action, it just happens to be a convention that is implemented by most major browsers.

It’s just that all of my other settings appear to transfer from one browser to another. Although maybe it’s just a case me using all defaults.

I’m not sure I understand. The change in font size is specific to whatever browser you were using and had focus when you hit the scroll wheel the first time. You wouldn’t expect that to change when you switch browsers. What other settings transfer from browser to browser? Those are likely system settings that any browser would pick up.

He’s probably using a browser which remembers zoom settings website to website.

I may have misinterpreted what he was saying.

Are you surprised that the new font size wasn’t used in Firefox and IE/Chrome/whatever? Or are you surprised that the new font size was used when you navigated back to the SDMB but not with other websites? Or something else entirely…

Trivia: Ctrl-scroll works in MS Office (version 2007, anyway, not sure about others), but not Ctrl-0.

CTL + also works
