There;s every chance that this;ll come out like crap, just becasue I;m at work using my laptop and not my home comptuer wuth the normal size keuboard. But maybe it;ll come out ok since I;ve been using this for several months now, and I think I;m hetting used to it.

okay I’ve got tot try this. This is me typing with my eyees closed. I get lost sometimes on where I am in the word, but other than that, I’m doing pretty ewll.
I drank a lot of tea today, so I’ve been peeing loike you wouldn’t believe. We’ve got wasps that have invated our front door, so I’ve got to go to the store to get some wasp killer before I ggo home. This is just random crap to see if I’m any good at typing at my noraml speed withoutt looking.

I learned how to touch type when I was little and home sick - I was driving my mom crazy so she plunked me down in front of her old manual typewriter and taught me how to do it … it’s been a Godsend!
Even won a t yping award in Grade 9. Hee hee …
The cool thing is, i almost always know when I’ve made a mistake and I can correct it and carry on without breaking stride.

This is me typing with my eyes closed. It doesn’t feel much different from typing with them open, to tell you the truth. I didn’t learn typing from an instructor; it’s just something I’ve been good at ever since I started needing to do it for school papers and such. I rather enjoy this.

If I do it fast without thinking about it, it just turns out like it does with my eyes open, which is to say including some mistakes that I would normally correct before moving on to the next letter or word.

I think the reason I’m pretty good at this is because I’ve spent way to many hours of my life playing MUDs. And of course, that involves lots of typing while looking at the screen rather than the keyboard. I’ve never had a formal writing lesson, and… oh. I meant ytyping lesson. But I obviously can’t go back and fix that word. My train of thought seems to be slipping a little bit with my eyes closed. Odd.
Anyway, I’ve never had a typing lesson. All my keyboarding skills are just from repetition over the years, sort of a super-mutated version of the hunt n’ peck method.

Hm. Well, actually, it seems that I’m not all that bad; I’m only off by a couple of keys. I’m going to practice typing without looking at the keyboard for a while. After I master that, I’ll practice the eyes-closed typing.

This is me typing with my eyes closed. I guess I’ve just finured out over the years how to type with out looking at they krsuboard. They gave us a program to teach us formal typing back in 3rd grade but I never really payed attention to it.

I have no idea if I can accurately type with my eyes closed. I know that I make typos all the time when I have them open, but I find right now that I seem to be concentrating much more on the actual keys I’m hitting.
