I’ll try that again: Wghix sill pfobablg get closed, but I couldn’t resist. I hope it doesn’t because this is fun. And Id love to see how well my fellow dopers do.
You can look at the first letter i you want.
But not any others. Boy I’m doing better than I thought!
Well suire, if you formally learned to type. but whar if you learned by yourself uing computers, like most internert users. And you have to go at fill speed too for this thiread. ision backspace only as you would normally use it (if you maknow you made a mistake)
I can type with my eyes closed. I can also type while I’m having a conversation with someone. (What I’m typing has nothing to do with the conversation.) People are always freaked out by this.
I’m not sure if I can type with my eyes closed or not I’m sure I can at least type a bit with my eyes closed, as I am doing right now., the issue comes with trying to post wit my eyes closed. I’m not sure i can find the Post button without looking. I guess i’ll give in and look whne i go to actually hit post.
I can type with my eyes closed, I think. I am dong it now, so it is hard to say whether I am succeeding. Self-taught typist, typing at my normal speed. I will probably be entirely embarassed when I open my eyes.
This will br really badf. I can barely tupe with my eyes open. Let’s see what else I can fo. Tyhis is easier than I thought, if I’;m typingh what IU think I[m typing. We shall see. Fun idean here, lkovsang.
(Eyes open)
Wow, for some reason I just couldn’t get your name right, Lobsang. Sorry about that.
Yes I can type with my eyes closed, but it goes a bit slower than usual, and it kind of drives me nuts to so it. I learned to touch type in high school, but I still tend to look at the keys when I type, a lot. I still tupe a lot faster than I did before though.
opens eyes Hmm, not bad, only two mistakes. That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I have trouble with special characters and numbers though–numbers because I don’t use them much and never really learned where they are intuitively, and special characters because I never learned them at all.
Yes, I can type with my eyes closed, but I took a real typing class back in high school and the lessons stuck. Now when it comes to any puncutaition other than periods and semicolons, I’d be in real trouble, because I almost always have to glance at the keyboard for those. And yes, this post was typed sans eyes (not really without eyes, but with them closed, anyway). Huh, I guess my fingers know where the parens are, too.
I’s post a smilet but I fear I might destrot the works network trying to do so!
wjen I dsaidf I flance. Hlance. I was talking about when I’m talking and typing at work. I slow own a bit an but I still do well. Some od my workmates can’t type with their etes oipen. the biggest problem is peressing two keys at once.
Aew tiu kiddubf> I axn barelt rypo whily looking at tje leys!
(Are you kidding? I can barely type while looking at the keys!)
Never learned touch typing – foolishly taught myself my own lame “system” when I was a teenager. I can type about 40-45 wpm when I’m just composing my own text, which is fortunately most of the time, but transcribing is a bitch.)
