A mother and stepfather were outraged when some one molested her daughter, and couldn’t be found guilty under the current law 'cause they ‘used an object’ in the assault. They lobbied for new legisilation to alter the rape laws in their state to include penetration w/objects.

fast forward a few years.

Mom is found guilty of artificially inseminating her 16 year old daughter w/her husbands’ sperm. According to the daughter (who’s child was proven to be sired by step dad), ‘the pregnancy test was mom’s Christmas present to him’

Their defense (in part) was ‘the girl agreed to it’ :rolleyes:

How do these people get so fucked up? I mean, really, how does reality start to twist so that the mother is OK with her daughter pregnant as a gift to her husband?

Mommy dearest was unable to bear children because of a hysterectomy. Guess she hadn’t ever heard of adoption, foster care, or (willing) surrogates. I’m getting the feeling from the articles I’ve been reading that this was mostly StepDaddy’s idea, and that mom was too weak, cowed, stupid etc. to object.
Had anyone heard if the child was put in foster care at the mother’s request, or was he taken from her for some reason? I’ve not seen much mention of the baby other than that he is not with any of his blood family (which is probably for the best, all things considered).
