Can you be alergic to your own sweat?

I have been going to the YMCA for a couple years now on my lunch breaks at noon to shoot some hoops and play in some pick up games with some of my friends, however, for the past couple of months after about a half an hour of playing basketball my upperbody starts to get a little red and itchy, it looks pretty weird and it never used to happen. I thought maybe it was the type of shirt I was wearing but thats not it and so I am thinking now that maybe its that I have somehow become alergic to my own sweat but I have never heard of anyone ever being alergic to his or her own sweat? Is this possible and if it is can it be fixed or avoided so that I can do some athletic activity without looking like a freak?

There was a Wanna-be superhero on “The Tick” cartoon who was allergic to his own sweat. Probably not based in reality. I think your problem is most likely a reaction to leftover detergent on your clothes, or possibly heatrash. My family has sever alergies, so alot of us use Tide free detergent. I personally break out in heat rash, but only when I physically overexert myself, and only on my back. I though it was an allergic reaction the first couple of times it happened to me.
