Read the thread on Primal, watched the first two episodes and loved it. It reminded me of an older adult cartoon that may have been on Liquid TV or similar. It featured a primitive man in a futuristic world. He befriends/is befriended by a poor, (blind?) young girl in a brutal, anime-ish landscape. I’m thinking it may have been part of Liquid TV because I remember watching it at the same time I watched the Aeon Flux cartoon.

Sounds like The Maxx, which was a comic and then a cartoon on MTV for a season.
It does sound vaguely like The Maxx, but it was set in the modern era with part of the show set in some sort of primative spirit world.

I remember watching The Maxx back in the day. I thought that it was kind of interesting, even if I don’t necessarily recall understanding what all was going on. It was packaged with this other show called The Head which was incredibly dumb.
