Apparently Trudeau is reviled now, because he shakes hands funny.
Attention CPC supporters: You lost the election. Get over it.
This kind of thing is simply making you look sad and pathetic.

Ah, they were quoting an article from The Daily Mail. I don’t see how that has anything at all to do with the Conservative Party of Canada.
Check out the comments section in the article from the National Post.
Here’s where you’ll find the CPC supporters in all their derp glory. Here’s an example from the bottom of the barrel:
“Both of his parents were whackos. Probably inherited the whacko geene as well.”
Perfect. The misspellings are the icing on the cake.
And why did the National Post re-print this rubbish anyway? What was the point? Yes, yes, NP, we know that you hate Trudeau with the passion of a thousand burning suns. Like I said, get over it.
Actually a lot of what I’ve seen cited in the Daily Fail – like incessant right-wing polemics and climate change denial – is very much aligned with the CPC. And the Daily Fail being quoted in the National Post – why, that’s practically like a Harper attack ad! “Trudeau shakes hands funny… because he’s just not ready (we told you so!)”.
Here we go again. Can you point out where I said I hated Trudeau?
ETA: directed at Euphonious Polemic.
Don’t think Euphonious Polemic said you hated him, just the NP.
Quick aside though (given the temperature drop up Ottawa way)- did you manage to secure a cord or so of wood?
Sorry. In text world I read that as *No Problem.
*
Confirmed that I meant the NP as in “National Post”.
I know you don’t hate Trudeau - you’re pretty clear that you’re willing to have an open mind and judge based on results.
Thanks, and for the record (on the most part) I think he’s picked a pretty damned good cabinet. Canada will be just fine.
Not until sunshine boy has been hounded out of office. You might be fine with this individual fucking up and fucking over Canada, but I am most assuredly not. You don’t get to tell people to get over it, cause your particular circle jerk won the election, thats why we have an opposition party, so that when he and his “cabinet” fuck up by the numbers, and they will, we get to call them on it. That comes with the job.
Declan
By all means turn the discussion to substantive issues.
But one verses two handed handshakes as a political issue worthy of national coverage? That’s pathetic. Didn’t Swift have something to say about that?
That’s a fascinating prediction, particularly in how definite it is while so completely devoid of reason or substance that it sounds like the ruminations of a second-rate psychic. So I see two possibilities here. One, you possess an amazing clairvoyant superpower that enables you to see the future, even when the future is so unexpected and irrational that no one else can see it – which must be a really awesome superpower to have. Or two, you’re so blinded by partisanship that you can’t even see the reality of the present. I wonder which one it is?
I should also clarify for you that the job of the Loyal Opposition is to challenge the government when they believe the government is wrong, not to predict gloom and doom in advance and wish catastrophe upon their country.
I would again point out that in Canada this basically never happens in this circumstance; he is going to be re-elected, so settle in for awhile. And if you don’t believe me, I’ll take a bet on it.
Rick
The Liberals might be re-elected, but thats not the same as Trudeau being PM, the second time around.
Declan
Both, your gonna have to trust me on the first, but I make no apologies for the second.
Would you have them use nice words, if the country was going off the rails. Would you personally “just get over it” and would you expect the PC and NDP should do the same.
Declan
So you have some fantasy scenario where the guy who led them to the biggest comeback ever is going to get booted out of the leadership in time for the next election? That’s a pretty silly hope, my friend. Delusional even.
Yeah, particularly in view of the poll I cited here:
[ul]
[li]74 per cent approve of Trudeau’s gender-balanced cabinet[/li][li]55 per cent of respondents said they would now vote Liberal — up from the 39.5 per cent who actually did on Oct. 19[/li][/ul]
I tell ya, Trudeau may as well quit right now!
I’ve got $1000 that says he is.
Forget wolfpup’s poll about how many people like him now; polls mean jack at this point. Prime Ministers get re-elected in Canada, full stop. In cases where the defeated PM didn’t lead his party in the next election the re-election rate is one hundred percent. Every single one. It doesn’t really even matter if he does a good job.
This is pretty much the very definition of an incoherent hate-rant.
Please, if and when the Liberals fuck up, call them on it. I’m confident that you’ll have your chances.
But simply spouting gibberish about how much you hate them is pathetic. Just the same way the National Post reprinting rubbish about analyzing Trudeau’s handshake is pathetic.
So, you would agree that you are "so blinded by partisanship that you can’t even see the reality of the present. "
I hope you’re proud of that achievement.
So you would have us believe that in the 24 days since the Liberal government was sworn in, Canada has “gone off the rails”.
OK then. Have a nice day.
