Cancer free boobies!

Bears repeating!

I got my hair cut. I don’t really like it, and neither does Ivylad (he prefers long, flowing locks) but he smiled and hugged me when I got home.

My stylist said she’d shave it for free once I got to that point.

This is my first attempt at linking to a photo, so bear with me.

This is me and Ivygirl.

Does the link work?

The link works! So that’s what you look like!

I don’t like the hair cut, so I don’t think it’s a very flattering picture. Ivylad is going to take a picture of me at my first day of chemo with the beanie hat and the teddy bear, so I’ll get that up soon.

I saw you at Orlandope last year with your long hair and I have to say, the short hair is cute! Have fun with it. A bit of gel or wax and you could probably sculpt yourself a nifty mohawk.

Well, I can’t get in for the followup mammogram and ultrasound until 8/4, so I guess I’ll be on tenterhooks until then. According to my doctor’s office, the radiologist saw a 3 cm “nodule” on the upper outside quadrent on my right side. According to the nurse it doesn’t appear cancerous. But then again, when your mother, sister and aunt have had breast cancer and you’ve got something over an inch long, you don’t really want to wait three weeks. But wait I will. Oh, and I have moderate asthma and need to use an inhaler. Peachy.

I just found this thread. Congratulations Ivy. and Good Luck St. Germain.

Good Luck, StGermain. I’ve just had two mammos and an ultrasound, and am awaiting a callback to schedule a biopsy. Not fun AT ALL. Don’t you just hate the words “lesion,” “nodule” and “neoplasm”? As of this week, I sure as hell do.

And let’s not even TALK about my ovaries.

Sigh.

Contratulations, ivylass, and keep on truckin’.

Tenar - I do hate the double-speak. I understand that they don’t want to feed my fears, but I’m not particularly afraid. Sort of anxious and I just want to know what I’m dealing with. If it’s cancer, it’ll be treated. If it’s not, great! But I want the answer. Speaking of ovaries, last year my sister had a complete hysterectomy. As soon as she was recovered from that, she had two lumpectomies and breast cancer treatment. So she was dealing with a forced menopause at the same time as the breast cancer treatment. What a pain!
