Thanks, Mishell. The lyric I sought (It was in a dream I had last night) doesn’t appear in that website; but the lyrics EJ wrote and performed are glum enough.

IIRC, he did another version dedicated to Ryan White, one of the first notable AIDS victims.
This strikes me as a tad crass. I mean, he did this song as a tribute to a troubled celebrity that he admired as a kid, and now he’s chopping it up and serving it to whoever else he feels like honoring? As my sister said, “This isn’t ‘Happy Birthday’!”
