Candy that makes you say "Yum!"
Do they still make those? I haven’t seen them in years.
Saw them in a store on Sunday (Buns). In Ohio. Different flavors, IIRC, but I wasn’t looking closely. Maple, of course.

There used to be these chocolates called “Ice Cubes” that they used to sell at my local liquor store. They melted almost the second you took the wrapper off, but boy, they were delicious. I wonder if they still sell them.

I loved those! They were in the ice cream freezer area at like 7/Eleven when I was a kid. I’m sure they are available at one of those nostalgic candy places.

I love those maple leaf candies. They are hard to come by in my neck of the woods. Tried to make them once and they were ok. I stocked up on them on a recent trip to Vermont.

I can’t choose - it’s either Sweet Tarts or Lemonheads. In fact, I just ate about a 100 lemonheads today. Breakfast of champions!

Karl Bissinger makes a chocolate-covered raspberry that’s only offered in July. I think I’ll splurge on an entire box this year.

Mounds bars are the shiznit. I pity the fool who doesn’t like coconut.

Do you mean candy lines as in snack bars at schools?

I was thinking confectioner’s sugar you could snort . . .

I remember candy corn being good on a summer day, because it wouldn’t melt.

Swedish fish, but only the red ones.

Fry’s Turkish Delight. But why the small bars? Grrr.

Also, Fry’s Peppermint Creme.

I haven’t been able to buy a Fry’s peppermint cream in Oz for more than 20 years. Are they still sold in the UK? I’m planning a trip and these culinary details are important.

In the absence of Fry’s bars, I’ll have to vote for Cherry Ripe. That’s today’s winner; tomorrow’s vote would be different.

Peanutbutter M&Ms
Reese’s Peanutbutter easter eggs.

I dunno if you’re trying to whoosh me because kids still do that nowadays :stuck_out_tongue: My brother is one of them. Definitely explains a lot of things about him…

I love Hershey’s Chocolate Truffle Kisses. Soft chocolate truffle wrapped in dark chocolate. Pop one into the mouth & allow to melt slowly. Pure Bliss.

Mass market candy: M&M’s.

Candy in general: Really good malted milk balls. The kind with high quality chocolate on the outside and fluffy malty stuff on the inside. Don’t even talk to me about Whoppers and other substandard pretenders masquerading as malt balls.

I don’t get the hate for salt licorice. Sure, it may not be to everyone’s taste, but people treat one like one is eating regurgitated excrement.
My fault. This isn’t the thread for discussing candy we don’t like. As you see in the other thread, many americans don’t like black licorice. The idea of salting it just makes it worse. It is a really easy candy to bash. My comment was unfair in this thread.

Yeah man, we’re hip deep in 'em. Come on over we’ll go nuts.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Mine!! I could eat every RPBC in the known universe. As a stupid kid, I once chonked down eighteen at a sitting, then yakked.

You can have all you like, though; I’m now diabetic and shouldn’t overindulge.

Sour stripes. Any flavor, although strawberry is the sourest. Mmmm… especially if they have extra sour powder on them!
