(Long) Poll coming.
Myself, I cannot imagine a world without Caramello, Twix, or Reese Peanut Butter Cups.

York Peppermint Patty? I like all of these, except Heath Bars.
There’s a kind of sesame nut brittle sold in the bulk candy section of the grocery store. Sort of like the sesame seed honey brittle, only this has whole nuts in it. I allow myself a square a week , and I really really really look forward to that square a week.
I really don’t consider most of the choices “Candy”. Candy bars, yes, but not ‘candy’. M’Ms are candy and I like them. Don’t care for skittles, and JR Mints are ok
Candy bars? 3 Musketeers, Reeses Cup, Peppermint Patties, Caramello, but sometimes I go years w/o eating any of them.
I am not a peanut person, so Snickers has never been a favorite, but a few months ago I noticed they now have a Snickers Bar a made with almonds, and I have to say it was pretty dang good, but I only tried it the one time.
I also like Cadbury Fruit & Nut chocolate bars (with raisins and almonds) once in a while, even though chocolate is not something that I typically crave too often.
(I remembered that I also like an occasional Kit Kat or Twix, so I guess that chocolate and me get along pretty well afterall…)
Hmmm, there needs to be an easy way to Select All Options.
And then I’d unselect Skittles.
I also select those Sunkist jellies.
Does anyone even buy Mr. Goodbar? I think that if they weren’t included in multibags of Halloween candy, nobody would ever bother with them.
I like a lot of these choices, but anything containing chocolate is not “candy” to me. My favorite kind of candy is pretty much any kind of gummy, but especially Wine Gums.
How about Zagnut? To this day, whenever I think about Zagnut (which, to be fair, isn’t very often), I think of the movie 48 Hours. When Eddie Murphy’s character was complaining that he was hungry, Nick Nolte bought him a Zagnut bar from the vending machine and said “Here’s your goddamned dinner”. I don’t think I’ve ever actually had a Zagnut bar, and no one I’ve ever asked about it has either. But I know it’s a real candy, and apparently is still around.
I also like: malted milk balls, Gimbal’s gourmet jelly beans, Blackberries and Raspberries and their Cherry Lover’s jelly beans, Laffy Taffy, caramels of all flavors, toffees, Jolly Ranchers and peanut brittle.
I’m quite sure there are more.
duplicate post. sorry, nothing to see here.
You left out my all time favorite-Zero bars! Just had one tonight at work in fact. Mmmmmm.
Nestle 100 Grand and Goo Goo Cluster are two I like that’s not on the poll.
Some I don’t buy because they don’t fill me up. Mr Goodbar, Herseys Bar, M&M’s for example leave me still hungry. All those calories and I’m hungry.
Kit Kat , Snickers satisfys my hunger much better.
I voted "“What about…?”
Marzipan. Is that considered a candy here in the US, or a confection (it comes in many forms, such as small figures, outhouses, animals, etc)? Anyway, I love it, and can’t stop eating it when I’m in Germany.
This IS candy, but I don’t know what it’s called: It’s a caramel circle with a sweet white paste in the middle and one could buy it as a theater snack.
Thanks

Oh yeah, I remember those. Goetze’s Caramel Cremes.
Dark chocolate M&Ms, 100 Grand, malt balls, Marathon, Oh Henry, Rolo.
You left out the Milkshake Bar. Probably because they haven’t been made for years and were never a national brand.
Ohhhhhhhh… I had forgotten about Milkshake bars! Those were yummy!
It’s a relabeled Mars bar (well, US-version Mars), and it’s a different formulation than just Snickers - peanuts + almonds… it’s a sweeter, the nougat is softer, etc. It’s also been re-relabeled back to Mars in some markets. I like them too, but it took me a while to accept that it wouldn’t be the same dense/less-sweet experience as the original Snickers.
Easier to list candies I don’t like. Candied citrus peel, licorice and Raisnettes.
As I’ve grown up I realize that the “chocolate” coins in our stockings and bunnies in our Easter baskets was really just brown wax. But I’ve graduated to better chocolate.
My favorite readily available at most checkout counters candy bars are Milky Way Midnight, Whatchamacallit, and Hershey with Almonds.
If you stood me in the candy aisle of a big store and said “you must choose one item in this aisle and that’s the only candy you may have until your 50th birthday” I’d pick peanut M&Ms.
I’m a Doper on a pretty tight budget these days, but when things loosen up I enjoy quite a few of the chocolate offerings at Trader Joe’s, particularly the organic dark chocolate truffle bar.
