I suppose this is another jab from MSFT at third party browsers. Does anyone know a way around it?
I’ve been having the same problem here as well. My understanding of the problem is the way that the MS has the Javascript setup. I using Mozilla Firefox to read my Hotmail messages until Opera figures this out.
Same problem using Safari in OSX 10.3, the problem seemed to coincide with my account upgrade to 250 MB. My workaround is to create a file called “to trash”, select them all, move them to that file, and then delete them from there. Or just let them fall out after the 5 days they stay on file.
On looking at the thread title again, I want to clarify I only have problems with messages in my “Junk Mail” folder. All others are deleted same as always.
Yeah, if you check the javascript source to the pop-up confirmation window it has an obvious error: an empty parameter for the “ok” box function. (The “cancel” box works as it should.) I.e., it works under IE due to a “feature” that’s really a flaw.
MS: When you want software that hasn’t been tested.
For me, I can’t move anything into any folder en masse.
Wait a second, I just tried Lambo’s method and it works. They must have fixed the problem with moving multiple messages between folders recently.
So it seems to be limited to the Junk folder now.
Thanks.
Yep. I just now tried it too and it works. Thank you Lambo.
