Can't figure out bookmarks on Kindle Fire HD 7"

I can’t figure out how to use bookmarks on my Kindle Fire HD 7-inch.

I know that if I start reading and then stop, the next time I open the book, it will start at the point I left off.

However, if I go back to re-read a passage earlier in the book, then I can’t figure out how to get back where I left off.

I know that if I tap the upper right corner, it puts a blue bookmark there, but I see no way to then use that bookmark to get back to that point.

At one point, I accidentally slid to a point way back in my book, so if I use “jump to furthest point read,” it will keep taking me back to that mistaken point.

Try going to “go to” then “notes and marks” and all your bookmarks should be there.

I see no such option. There “go to page or location” and “sync to furthest page read” and then a list of sections and chapters. I can’t find “notes and marks.”

That’s so strange. Have you tried looking for notes under “go to page?” I’m looking at my kindle app right now and that’s where the bookmark location is.

Looking online it says they’re located under the “notes” tab.

Ah, I found it. The “notes” option is next to the “go to” option. And the bookmarks are under the notes. It’s strange – none of the Amazon instructions say that.

Glad things worked out for you.

Thanks for your advice!
