Yes,I’ve gone through FAQs,to no avail. I can do italics. I can bold.
But I can’t find instructions on how to vary letter size. I’d like to learn a little more about coding before vB becomes obsolete. And I want to be able to make little,tiny letters.
Won’t someone help this doddering,slobbering,clueless dope(ster)?
Now zoom off to the other fora like a hummingbird,and don’t forget to stock up on sugar or caffeine or crystal meth or whatever fuels your insane need to be everywhere,all the time!
::gasp…wheeze…sputter::
Well,that worked,but the process,at least on webtv,is so unwieldy—
1.) Go to website,find url
2.)write down url
3.)Go back to DOPE,find previous place
4.)Type in long-ass url
5.)Test it and hope you didn’t fornicate up
6.)Collapse and take nap
You’re right of course.I have no idea what a “cheap” PC costs,though,or what else would be needed.I’m completely illiterate and have no one to advise me.I’m afraid of viruses and that I wouldn’t know what to do if (when) I got one. I’m just flat afraid.It took me long enough to learn to operate this stupid machine.Would operating instructions with a computer tell me everything I need to know? Can you recommend a “starter” machine?
These questions are primarily for Q.E.D.,but I’ll take advice from anyone who happens to wander in here.
(I probably should start this in IMHO,but I’ll let it ride for a while here.) I’ve been thinking of this for a long time. Maybe this will start me down the trail to actually doing something about it.
If you want to get a computer, but money is tight, you could probably pick up something in the Pentium III class for about $200-$300 at a local computer show. At the very least, you’ll want the CPU, keyboard, mouse and monitor. It should run Windows 98 at a minimum (I have a Win98 SE disk, if you need one). Ebay also has some good deals. If you’re serious about getting one, it might be a good idea to post an IHMO thread asking for advice and recommendations, especially if you’ve never had one before.
