In 2007 I created a YouTube account and I uploaded a few videos. How do I go about signing into my account? Here’s the problem: I created the account with a hotmail address I’d set up for my late mother. To log into YouTube a decade ago, I entered my username and password. I still have the email with my password, and I remember my username. But a few years ago I tried to set up a gmail account. I think I was successful, but I don’t remember. Then a couple of years ago I tried to set up another gmail account. I did this at work, and was using a sticky keyboard. So the username was rubbish. Unfortunately, the account was created. I asked about gmail a few weeks ago, and ended up creating another account. Apparently YouTube was acquired by Google sometime the past decade. So when I entered my hotmail address into the sign-in box, and use the password I set up in 2007, I get signed into YouTube and it says my email is the failed gmail address I didn’t want. My hotmail address is an ‘alternate email’, and gmail thinks my email address is the failed one.
Who cares, right? Only, I’d like to ‘take ownership’ of the videos I’d posted. What if I want to delete them? Or add to them? I can’t. Or is there a way I sign in as BlankReg?
