Damn - now I recognize her!
Thank You.
That actually perplexed me. Marvel has been doing so well in other areas, cross-promoting their movies. Yet the Marvel trailers shown before the latest Marvel movie are always the same trailers that’ve been available online and preceeding other movies for months.
Their target audience isin that theatre! It is the optimum time to convince those people they need to see the next Marvel movie, too. Why wouldn’t Marvel make a new trailer specifically to go with the latest release? They’re already making a half-dozen or more targeted trailers; one more would be cake.
True, but how many people who go to see WS and enjoy it are gonna give Guardians a miss? It’s kind of a shoe-in candidate. Hell, they might not even need to make any trailers for Avengers 2.
As a former employee, I can tell you that the DoD isn’t down with films that don’t contain an abundance of ass-kissing falsehoods. That’s why you won’t see a realistic Delta Force or Navy SEAL film anytime soon.
But it is why you’ll see Michael Bay’s tired flag-waving bullshit again soon at a theater near you….
Chris Evans cleansed himself by appearing in The Losers, based on a Vertigo comic series published by the Distinguished Competition. It let him cross the void safely.
(do I get points for effort?)
Yeah right…that would the Michael Bay that likes to show the US government as incompetent and arrogant goons that exist mostly as foils for the good guys in his Transformers movies?
And you don’t consider Zero Dark Thirty a realistic portrayal of the SEALs?
And he was in Scott Pilgrim vs the World which connects him to the indie comic universe.
Truly it is said, Chris Evans is The One.
What fight scenes were Redford and Jackson in?
Redford wasn’t in any unless you count shooting his maid. Jackson did do some physical stuff during the assault on the helicarrier in Avengers.
Just checking IMDB. Captain America 2 is the tenth movie Evans has made that’s based on a comic book.
I count nine, not including the Thor cameo.
Fantastic Four
TMNT
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Push
The Losers
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
Captain America: The First Avenger
The Avengers
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
What did I miss, or were you counting the cameo?
He also grappled with the fake cop hanging onto the window of his SUV in this latest movie.
True. I’d forgotten about him yanking the fake cop through the window.
How do you know he was fake? For all we know (and the movie shows) NYPD is solidly infested by HYDRA. It would explain a lot.
Snowpiercer was also based on a graphic novel.
I had forgotten the Thor cameo. If you count that, it’s actually eleven.
Fury’s SUV’s computer said no police cars were in the area. And it was Washington, D.C., not NYC, I thought.
That may be true…but they were in DC.
Right… they were in DC?
Funny, it looked awfully familiar…
