Does anyone in the entire world besides me remember this game??? If so, does anyone remember how the heck it ends? All I remember was that at the time it was the coolest game ever and that if you let captain goodnight stand in one place too long he pulled out a yo-yo. now that’s detail. : )

God was my copilot, then we crashed and I had to eat him.
Sure, I remember it. I even played it on an Apple emulator program, though my favourite games were Conan, Rescue Raiders and Short Circuit.
Offhand, I don’t remmeber anything specific about the ending, but I do remember going wandering a few times. For instance, if you didn’t board the jet at the beginning but continued to walk down the runway, some kind of automated sentry laser would blow you away, though you’d get warnings.
And if you approached the girl at the end of Karateka while in a fighting stance, watch out!
I had my very own ultra-slow-loading pirated version back in the day. I don’t remember much about the ending, either, other than feeling a great sense of accomplishment at beating the game. It was quite tough in places. IIRC, there’s a faq by Andrew Schulz on gamefaqs.com about the game–you could probably find more details from reading that.
I think what blew my young mind most about the game was just how varied the experience was. By land, by sea or by air, Goodnight ALWAYS gets his man.
YES!!! I remember the whole sentry laser thing, they thought of everything in those days. And Karateka…don’t even get me started on how many times we played our way through that one just to go into the combat stance in front of the girl and WHACKO! (Just like my wife nowadays LOL!)
