Is there any software (preferably free or shareware) out there that will automatically add visible captions to a JPEG photo? I want to send a photo CD to my parents-in-law and don’t want to have to try and explain each and every photo to them over the phone (200 photos). I know I could edit them one by one in some photoediting software, but I want to do a batch edit. My Google search has turned up software, but the captions applied aren’t visible (it’s file info or something).
You may be better off publishing a photo album with something like Jasc photo album or a similar program. You end up with a thumbnail page with descriptions which is easy to browse. I can’t think of even how you’s caption photos as a batch unless you wanted them to have all the same caption.
XNView has a free program you can download. Just search google for it and get it from CNET or other sources
Thisprogram, which can be used as a replacement for MS Paint, will do the job. I use it in place of Paint Shop Pro for some of graphics work I do.
